A process engineer analyzes the morphological composition of construction waste (finds out what components construction waste consists of) and analyzes the chemical composition of a specific waste component. Based on the results of data analysis, it selects appropriate technologies for the recovery or recycling of waste. Oversees the collection (or dismantling) and sorting of materials for recovery or recycling.
The novelty of the profession: The specialist works in the paradigm of Circular Economy (and not in the paradigm of Linear Economics). The specialist understands the technologies for processing construction waste that were formed during new construction, during major repairs and reconstruction of buildings, defects in the production of construction materials and products.
Key competencies:

- Knows the norms of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning building materials waste.
